Faith 101

Here is an excerpt from the book

Hebrews 12:2 says, "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross. . ."

He was able to endure the cross because He saw joy.  It is impossible to look at a horrific death and see joy unless something is wrong with you.  Something was wrong with Jesus, He was four-eyed.  Only through the eyes of faith could He have seen joy.

What incredible joy could He have seen?  He saw the countless millions being adopted by God because of His blood.  He saw Satan whimpering as He snatched the keys of death and hell.  He saw the captives being freed.  He saw a glorious church that would some day be joined with Him in receiving New Jerusalem, His bride.  He saw the battle in Armageddon, the Kingdom of Heaven prevailing, and the saints of God coming out victorious.

Faith brought Jesus here and put Him in a manger.  Faith enabled Jesus to walk the earth teaching men, raising dead, healing sick, challenging religion, casting out devils, and preaching the gospel.  Faith sent Jesus to the cross.  Faith caused Jesus to outlast the grave.  Faith raised Jesus up and seated Him beside His Daddy, and your faith in Jesus will do the same for you:

"And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus."  (Ephesians 2:6)
